Class Description

Join us at Build Lab every Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday (varied hours, advanced booking required), where adults and families are invited to indulge in hours of LEGO® building in a creative and engaging setting—perfect for those who love building but prefer not to deal with the mess at home. Hosted by our expert Brick Lab instructors, Open Lab events transform an ordinary day into an extraordinary showcase of imagination and innovation. Our expansive brick library, which boasts over 400 LEGO® sets, provides a treasure trove of options, ensuring that builders of all ages and skill levels can find just the right pieces for any project. During these immersive Open Lab times, participants can work on personal projects (LEGO® brought from home) or rent a set from our expansive and always-changing library, with access to a wide array of specialized resources and tools from The Brick Lab. Our instructors always offer guidance, inspiration, and support as you turn your visions into reality. Open Lab is the perfect place to build, learn, and create without the confines of your home—join us for a session and let your creativity soar! Your $25 reservation fee covers your facility usage (if you bring your own sets from home) or is applied as a credit to the price of any LEGO® set rental or purchase. Rental sets range in price from $5 to $50, and Cubby Members are welcome to store incomplete projects from week to week. Please Note: 48-hour advanced booking is required for Wednesday and Thursday Open Lab hours ONLY. Saturday Open Lab is now drop-in and does not require a reservation. The Makerspace will be closed for private events, and this may happen without prior notice.

The Brick Lab is NOT affiliated with the LEGO® Group in any way. We just really like their highly sophisticated acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastic interlocking brick system.

Some LEGO® sets contain small parts that are NOT suitable for, and may pose a hazard to, children under 3 years of age. LEGO® DUPLO® sets have larger pieces which are specially designed for children under 3.
